About the Role

As a Consultant Oncologist, you will join a well-established Oncology department, providing high-quality care for patients with Urology and Upper GI cancers while contributing to multidisciplinary cancer services, research, education and clinical governance activities

Responsibilities

Deliver specialist Oncology services with a focus on Urology and Upper GI cancers, including prostate brachytherapy
Support and supervise Oncology trainees, junior doctors and multidisciplinary colleagues
Contribute to service development, clinical governance, audit and research activities

What We're Looking For Essential:

Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
Entry on the GMC Specialist Register, or CCT expected within 6 months of interview
Experience in Clinical Oncology with an interest in Urology and Upper GI cancers
Strong communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills
Commitment to teaching, quality improvement and service development

Desirable:

Experience in research, clinical trials or published work
Previous involvement in service improvement initiatives
Management or leadership experience
